"A room should make a statement and everyone who visits the space should carry on that conversation"
ABOUT THE DESIGNER
A native Californian, interior design was not the intended path, but a calling for Ms. Chao. Coming from an engineering background, Ms. Chao founded her boutique lifestyle design firm in 2007 after working under the mentorship of some prestigious Interior Designers in Los Angeles. She received her formal interior design training from UCLA and the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising but acquired her vast knowledge from her extensive travels throughout the world.
DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
Ms. Chao works to bridge the gap between the project's full potential and the boundaries imposed by the realities of life. She believes that a great design is the culmination of a tri-party relationship between a designer, a client, and the space. From residential to commercial projects, Ms. Chao's signature trademark of understated timeless designs cover the gamut from classic traditional, to the drama of color, to the livable transitional, and to the sophisticated modern interiors. Her projects have taken her from the sunny coast of California to the hot sands of Dubai and everywhere in between.
